Sometimes:

We wait for a rainbow and all we get are more grey skys.

We wish for a flock of Doves swaying into the sunset, and all we get, is a group of Crows screaming into a street lit night sky.

We open our eyes and expect to start our morning routine, but we are confused by the smoke and darkness surrounding us.

We wonder why we are so confused.

We open a letter from someone we love, to read that the letter tells us- they no longer love us back.

We have dreams of corn mazes but can't find the beginning.

We observe our surroundings and find nothing but strangers on our birthdays.

We smile when we enter a room and no one has teeth.

We dream and never wake up, but, we realize that is because we are living our dream.

We never realize what we have because we don't have what we want.
